Liberalism Chooses Fascism

LIBERALISM CHOOSES FASCISM

WHY DEMOCRATS WON'T SAVE YOU

INTRODUCTION

Lenin said that without revolutionary theory, there is no revolution. It is a vital lesson that any people must learn; the development of humanity and the nations within is a scientific endeavor, not one of just opposing moralities. Scientifically engaging in the

progression of humanity and the nations within is observing the development of economic forces, analyzed through the interactions between the working class and the exploiting class and their wealth-property relations. But, don't let this dissuade you, for scientific data supports progressive virtues such as tolerance and the rejection of intolerance. This article will assume the reader has a sufficient understanding in why capitalism has outstayed its welcome, and how its influence has not left any aspect of society untouched. But, if you don't, check out this or many other publicly available introductory videos on the topic.

THE MOTIVE

Liberalism is intrinsically a capitalist ideology. Liberal elites, just like Conservative elites, are financial beneficiaries of the system they run. Agreeing on most things with the seldom differences played up, Democrats are considered the more empathetic, compassionate counterpart to the Republicans. How did they get this reputation? Through the uplifting of minorities & women. But they do this selectively, and within the confines of a racist & patriarchal system. The result is empire with a more human face; accusations of racism & patriarchy are now more defensible. But the tradition of criminalizing poverty & minorities, of imperialistic foreign policy and the atrocities therein still carry on like normal. And just like that, the scam of liberal feminism and the uplifting of minorities is revealed within a paragraph; it is a black girlboss advocating for the wholesale slaughter of minorities and women in Gaza. It is optics & vibes without substantive change.

LIBERALS ARE UNIQUELY DANGEROUS FASCISTS

Liberals, in their relative restraint, prefer a more tempered approach to suppressing the working class. Their more subtle methods allow for the veil of democracy to conceal a dictatorship of the ruling class. This also provides them a shield in which to justify atrocity as "democratic consensus." Not to mention the aforementioned elevation of select marginalized individuals in order to make empire more defensible.

Compare this to, for instance, the Trump Presidency. Brazen fascism in its intensified struggle against the working class, in its shortsightedness, has dropped the veil of democracy. They have publicly revealed what communists have been saying for more than a century-and-a-half; that capitalist democracies are democracies only for the rich. That the consequences of law only apply to the working class. That the very democratic processes that the liberals hide behind are just for show.

Republican fascism has undone all the progress that liberal fascism has achieved. By causing economic destruction at home, those who were content in their comfort are now unhappy and looking for solutions. By our bipolar handling of foreign affairs, we have destroyed our reputation and severed relationships that took decades to build. The reactionary forces of capitalism, once again, have driven more people to communism than any of our propagandists ever could.

One particularly horrifying component of liberalism is its capacity to advocate for atrocity, such as the genocide in Palestine, while believing they have the moral high ground. To be able to advocate for genocide, especially while using almost Israel's cartoonishly obvious genocidal narratives such as those attempting to erase Palestinian history, while feeling morally justified is terrifying. To advocate for the wholesale death of an entire people using justifications such as "what do you think will happen if they win," as one Madisonite liberal said when she tore down my poster of a Palestinian child throwing a rock at a tank.

When Kamala Harris lost, I saw an unexpected spike in liberals being outright bigots. One Madisonite liberal said "what do you think they'll do if they win" as justification for tearing down one of our posters of a Palestinian child throwing a rock at a tank. While another at the capitol tried to tell us that either queers in totality or trans people in particular appropriated the rainbow flag. Just one example in a long liberal tradition of their attempts to earn the respect of their unrespectable enemy, the Republicans, by cutting off strips of the rainbow flag, too ignorant to realize that those colors are cut off one at a time until there is nothing left.

THE HISTORICAL RECORD

USA LIBERALISM AT HOME

First, let's start here at home. The historical role of the Democrats within the United States has not been one of progress, but, counterintuitive to the American understanding, one of preventing progress. I can present to you two ways in which they do this. First, by their constant capitulation to the right-wing in order to steal voters; as the right gets more extreme, the left follows; the Overton Window shifts further right. We can see this in how Kamala's presidential campaign was further right-wing in policy than past Republican presidents, putting an emphasis on right-wing talking points such as being "hard on crime" and "hard on the border," even more-so than Trump.

Another way in which the Democrats prevent movement to the left is through elite capture (see Olúfẹ́mi O. Táíwò's book of the same name). Democrats have constantly co-opted grassroot workers' movements and pacifies them for the state. The biggest example that comes to mind is, as reported in A People's History of the United States and alluded to in The Autobiography of Malcom X as told to Alex Haley, Martin Luther King Jr. and other black civil rights leaders were organized to co-opt Malcom X's march on Washington and turn a group of angry folk to a group of controlled folk.

This doesn't just exist on a politician level. The virtues of liberals, as told to them by the Democrats, also destroys workers' movements. In our city of Madison, for example, we've seen movements get destroyed over hyper-individualistic liberals who will sabotage activist organizations when internal democracies do not rule in their favor. They've done this through unsubstantiated accusations, using access to movement social media platforms to slander, and who knows what else.

The liberal will, even on this small of a scale, practice what the Democrat movement as a whole has continuously done; they will alienate the marginalized in an attempt to gain bipartisan membership, not knowing that inviting wolves into a den of sheep only results in a subsequent slaughter and wolf hegemony. This is referred to as bigger-tent thinking. I have seen it done where liberals will advocate for less-to-no representation of certain marginalized groups in order to be more appealable towards their predators.

I could go on about the many ways in which liberals sabotage the workers' movement, especially since we didn't even touch upon the arrests of McCarthy era repression of socialists which resulted in arrests and executions of communists, socialists, even anarchists. But, Mao Zedong summarized the destructive liberal tendencies best in this very short and publicly accessible work, Combat Liberalism. The function of liberals in our society can probably be best understood using the Ratchet Effect, depicted in the graphic below.

USA LIBERALISM OVERSEAS

First, let's understand that, when reflecting upon all of the modern historical decisions made by the United States, contextualize them with the realization that these decisions were made with Democrats either being the predominant, or second-most dominant political power in the country. This simple truth means that Democrats, when not architects of atrocity, when they are not perpetrators of it, are, at best, powerless to stop it. Given the extensive historical (and ongoing) record and consistency of the atrocities in which the United States has committed, merely a glance is enough to condemn the Democratic party as willing participants, especially now that we've revealed that the democratic systems and processes in which they hid behind are mostly optional for the ruling class. Each case warrants its own understanding, its own nuance, which is outside of the scope of this introduction to these concepts.

The mass-murder of Vietnamese citizens, of Korean citizens, of Chilean citizens, of Indonesian citizens; all in the name of fighting communism. We can see many atrocities carried out while the Democrats have been one of two governing authorities of the United States. In those moments where Democrats had majority control the legislature, the consistent trend of atrocity continued, and so did the preference for American elites, as shown in books such as Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States.

LIBERALISM SIDES WITH FASCISM ALWAYS

Now that we know which side liberalism is on, it is important to also be reminded that fascism is a capitalist ideology. Described as "emergency capitalism," or "imperialism turned inwards." When the veil of democracy falls and the people call for a real democracy, the liberals step back and let fascism take control. Why? Well, because capitalist democracies have never been democracies for you, for one. But, principally, never once in history has a class in power given up that power willingly. In the words of Castro, revolution is a struggle of life & death between the future and the past. The liberal elite, beneficiaries of capitalism and its imperialism, are nothing new. When the veil falls, the liberal elite must make a decision. Either they support the revolution and give up their excess privilege, or they continue living privileged lives under fascism. You can imagine which the liberal elite have always chosen. What they chose in Germany, in Italy, in Spain, in Chile, Greece, Indonesia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Brazil, Argentina...
